George Washington needed a win before the end of the year so more people would join the army. So he slipped across the Delaware River to surprise Henson troops at Trenton. He went across it at Christmas Eve and easily captured it.
The Henson troops where tired from celebrating. 900 Henson where taken prisoner, 90 where wounded, and 25 where killed.
When General Cornwallis heard and went marching down to get Washington. Washington heard and told his men to light the fires and went around the British Army to capture Princeton. When Cornwallis got to Trenton he saw no men there he heard a gun shot in Princeton and went there.
